Dauphin Island- 21 September

Still slow here on the Gulf coast. Not much migration to speak of. Captures were dominated by local birds and migrants were relatively scarce.

I will be taking a week-long break from the birds to go to a conference…about birds. The annual joint conference of the American Ornithologists’ Union and Cooper Ornithological Society is meeting this year in Estes Park Colorado and I leave tomorrow morning bright and early. Hopefully most migrants will wait for my return to pass though!
